School Operation Update

Update on Operations for FLMACA

For the next school year – 2021-2022 , our district will shift our operations to a 6-12th grade district to plan to move forward with opportunities to grow our early college experience. Our leadership has requested a period of ‘dormancy’ with the Texas Education Agency in grades PK-8th, meaning we intend to resume operations in these grade levels at a later date to be determined. Change is not always easy but the promise that it brings can be transformative. We look forward to this next chapter in our legacy and the impact that it will make on generations.

4018 South Presa and 138 Fair Avenue Facilities Sold

Our current facilities at 4018 South Presa and 138 Fair Avenue have been on the sales market for over two years. Our leadership has been very selective as to who would make a good owner of our facilities and continue our loving care of the community. The facilities have been sold to Royal Public Schools who will begin operation August 2021. We will finish the current 2020-2021 school year serving K-8 at 4018 South Presa.

Early College Expansion

Our district has submitted a request to the Texas Education Agency to replicate its early college high school. This growth effort is supported by local higher education systems as well as philanthropic foundations. Additionally, we have been awarded a grant to pursue this expansion and look forward to working with the Texas Education Agency in developing another early college high school.
