My name is Elizabeth Vega and I am a Texas native. I was born in Houston and was raised in San Antonio since the age of 4 years old. I love traveling (especially to the Philippines to see my family), shopping, watching movies, and simply spending time with family and friends. I am a 2016 graduate from Texas A&M University-San Antonio, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with an EC-6 Generalist concentration. I completed my Student Teaching through Northside ISD, but I am very grateful to have started off my teaching career here at Frank L. Madla ACA. This is my 2nd year teaching; last year I taught 2nd grade. I completed my time Student Teaching in a year and half program in kindergarten, along with being a substitute teacher for all elementary grade levels for 5 months.

This will be my first year teaching 1st grade and I am excited for the challenge. My greatest goal is to create a classroom community where students feel inspired to inspire others, welcome, safe, and excited to learn. I am looking forward to all the fun things we will learn this year as we will create, explore and grow together!
