Sarah Childs

I have been in education for about 10 years. I started my career subbing during college for 4 years where I worked in every grade level PK-12th and just about every subject area. Then, I was a teaching assistant for a year, first in a PPCD classroom and then in a 1st-3rd grade classroom at a Montessori school. After that, I got my first teaching job as a 2nd grade teacher. Half a year later, my principal at the time moved me to 3rd grade ELAR, because she wanted me to help get them ready for STAAR. Then, I taught ESL PK3-10th grade and after that 6th grade Writing. Now, this is my 3rd year working at Frank L. Madla ACA as an ESL Interventionist (my 4th teaching ESL total) and this year I have also started doing Dyslexia Intervention. My teaching certifications include Early Childhood through 6th grade Generalist, 4th through 8th grade ELAR, and ESL Supplemental.
